Farm History:
The farm was purchased by Fred and Mary Planer in 1946 and was then sold to Rowland and Dorthea Brunner in 1957, after the death of Fred. In 1964, Tom Planer married Audrey Brunner; the farm was inherited by Tom and Audrey, upon the death of her parents.
Barn History:
The barn was built in the 1880's and was used as a dairy barn until the 1960's. It is presently used for hay storage and as a farm shop.
The barn is braced framed with a limestone foundation and pegged hand-hewn beams. An addition was added in the early 50's to extend the size of the dairy barn.
